HYDRATION
AND THE SPINAL
ADUSTMENT
M-Water® and Core Water™
will Insure Optimum Hydration
Written
by Dr David Wheeler
I have written this article for my
fellow Chiropractors, but the following information should be of great interest
to anyone who is a healthcare provider as well as the general public. Using my health breakthrough products
M-Water® and Core Water™ to optimize cellular hydration will insure better
joint health. All joints in the body (including the spine) will be stronger,
less subject to injury and less painful with any chronic condition.
Many
Chiropractors have not considered the extremely important relationship between
cellular hydration and the spinal adjustment. However, the capacity of the
spine to more consistently remain free of spinal subluxations (the traditional
Chiropractic definition for a misalignment of a spinal segment) is directly
related to the level of over all cellular hydration in the body.
The
practical effect of insuring proper hydration of the body is that the spinal
adjustment will hold better. The spine will remain more resilient and adaptive
so as not to become misaligned in the face of ongoing input from physical,
mental, emotional and chemical stresses.
Since the
traditional chiropractic model of reducing spinal subluxations is all about
reducing interference in the feedback system of ADIO in the brain and spinal
cord (ascending, descending, inside and out), it is essential that hydration of
the body includes the spine and nervous system, ADIO cannot be maintained at
its peak level without cellular hydration. Any level of cellular dehydration
will tend to increase the likelihood of spinal subluxations and their
associated interference, which will in turn negatively effect physical, mental
and emotional health.
First of
all, the mechanics of spinal segments in terms of their interrelationships is
based on hydration of the disc and surrounding soft tissue and even of the bone
itself. Over all cellular hydration is the primary indicator for how
effectively any part of the body is hydrated. There are three aspects involved
with hydration to the nervous system and spine:
1)
The
disc is the cushion between the vertebras, which is for the most part based on
water as the lubricating fluid. Any lack of hydration to the disc can result in
decreased disc space and lubrication and therefore friction stress to the
vertebra. This in turn may lead to osteoarthritis as well as stress the
alignment relationships between vertebras. In the long run, optimal cellular
hydration means that vertebra will remain in greater alignment with each other
and a greater alignment of the whole spine from occipital to coccyx.
2)
Surrounding
blood supply to the soft tissue in the form of muscles, ligaments and tendons
insures that they will remain in balance in their attachment to the vertebra.
Hydration determines how efficient and effective the blood supply is to soft
tissue surrounding the spine, including the supply of nutrients that takes
place in the medium of water hydrating in and out of the cells. Healthy
attachment of the soft tissue components to the spine will decrease the
likelihood of spinal subluxations.
3)
The
bone itself needs to be supplied with nutrition in order to remain healthy and
decrease the likelihood of different diseases of the spine, including
osteoporosis. If the bone itself is not healthy, then the spine will become
stressed, with a greater likelihood of vertebra subluxations. Optimum hydration
allows water as the medium or blood supply and nutrients to reach the bone more
efficiently and effectively.
The
traditional approach to chiropractic has to do with the nerve supply that flows
between the brain and the rest of the body based on ADIO. Negative input takes
place 24 hours a day that ascends from the body through the nervous system to
the brain. The brain then responds by sending descending signals to the cell,
organs, glands and systems of the body to deal with any negative input in order
to correct any imbalance.
The
capacity of the nervous system to respond to any physical, mental, emotional
and chemical stress depends on how efficiently and effectively nerve impulses
can flow between the brain and body. The most important site of hydration in
the body is the brain. The brain is the only organ that does not shut down for
periods of rest and is at work all the time as the master regulator of the
entire body.
Although
many Chiropractors do not consider the ramifications of dehydration with
decreased energy supply to the brain, the fact is that water is more important than
food for brain energy. There are only three substances that can pass the blood
brain barrier completely with ease: water, sugar and glutamine. However, it
takes at least several minutes for sugar and glutamine to go from the digestive
system and other parts of the body to the brain. However, the time it takes
water from the gut and other parts of the body to reach the brain is a few
seconds at most.
When
people drink water that has the right kind molecular structure, insuring a high
level of stored energy and biocompatible vibration, then this water will more
quickly enter the brain and increase energy to its cells. Optimum hydration
will increase cellular energy in and of itself as a process, but also the kind
of water that hydrates effectively supplies greater energy in the form of
electrons as well. Therefore, hydrated brain cells will send and receive the
chemical and electrical messages necessary to restore and maintain health
throughout the body to every cell, organ, gland and system. A low energy brain
based on any level of dehydration will interfere with the capacity of the brain
to communicate with the body effectively, and therefore will increase the
likelihood that the stress to the body will cause an increase in spinal
subluxations and their associated interference.
Not only
does the brain depend on hydration for effective nerve cell function, but the
cells in the spinal cord and peripheral nervous system have the same
requirement for optimum hydration in order to be an effective transmitter of
nerve impulses. When the central and peripheral nervous system are hydrated
properly, the spine will remain in a greater state of vertebral alignment,
which is at the core of how the body restores and maintains health.
Flight or
fright reactiveness is ongoing at any level of
dehydration, with automatic chemical defense mechanisms kicking in that will
ultimately stress the spine and nervous system. Greater stress based on a
flight or fright biological response to any level of dehydration will undoubtedly
increase the likelihood of spinal misalignments and their associated
interference blocking the highest potential for health in any person. By
optimizing cellular hydration throughout the body, ease in the nervous system
and body as a whole will increase the discharge of dis-ease.
Greater ease physically, mentally and emotionally will bring about a more vital
state of health, which is the automatic outcome from hydrating the body
effectively every day in a person’s life.
